Pool Side Surprise

Project Overview: We collaborated with Mintpay to produce a commercial that advertises their app's latest feature, “Pay Now”. Our brief was quite simple; highlight the main points of the new feature, in a way that the consumer couldn’t resist using it. Fortunately for us, we were given total creative freedom, therefore we were able to put our own comedic twist to it. Production & Treatment Both videos were shot in one day, at two different locations. This came with a challenge of time constraints as we had a limited time slot at both locations and had to capture all necessary footage, with the condition of obtaining a satisfactory performance from the talents, which was a key factor in achieving the required feel to the videos. We also wanted to maintain an authentic and natural look to the videos, so that it would relate much more to the viewer, therefore opted towards using as much natural light as possible to stay true to that. With that in mind, we shot the commercial using a Sony FX6, since it would allow us to shoot in RAW, thus giving us the ability to really push the colour treatment aspect in post. The sound design also played a major part in bringing life to the commercial and immersing the viewer into the video.
