CFW 2024 Aftermovie

Project Overview: When we were approached with the CFW (Colombo Fashion Week) '24 project, our goal was to break new ground and do something unprecedented for CFW. We decided to deviate from the traditional after-movie format and instead, craft a short story narrative. In this video, CFW introduces itself as an entity. The narrative unfolds in a way that allows the viewer to piece together the story, with the reveal coming at the end when CFW, addressing the audience, states, "And you’re forever changed." Production & Treatment: Our vision for this video was to create an otherworldly production. To achieve this, we combined a unique narration with internally remixed orchestral music and an ethereal voiceover. We wanted the cinematography, color grading, and visual effects to reflect this theme consistently. Due to the inherent chaos of every fashion show, we had to abandon our pre-planned shots and adapt on the fly, continuously stitching the video together in our minds. This spontaneous approach resulted in a final product that not only met but exceeded our original vision. Chaos is an understatement because we had to edit the video and provide it for the show the next morning, which we did. It was chaotic but.. a beautiful experience.
